My last work:
made on pearl cotton with a steel crochet hook, 1 mm ( at least it was 1 mm before I modified it for crotat…). Anyway I like how it looks blocked. I usually don’t b;ock, but this one looks better blocked.
a detail for the flower:
It is a bruges crochet braid, you can choose one from here:
and some flowers, clusters again…
ch = chain; sl st = slip stitch; sc = single crochet; dc = double crochet; cluster or 4 dc tog= 4 dc worked together (like decreasing, but 4 in the same time).
ch 6, form a ring
R1: ch 4 (dc+ch 1), *dc, ch 1*; repeat *_* 11 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch from the beginning ch 4. (12 dc)
R2: ch 3 (doesn’t count), *4 dc tog (cluster of 4) in the next ch 1 from the previous round, ch 5*, repeat *_* 12 times. (12 clusters).Join with sl st in the 3rd ch from the beginning ch 3.
R3: ch 1, sc in each ch from the previous round, joun, fasten off and cut your tailes.
I needed 10 flowers for a M size collar. You will join 2 petals of each flower in braid, so you have to count how many you need for your desired length. I joined with chain, maybe you will find another method (e.g. with needle, like in Romanian lace).
Have fun and good night! It’s 2 am here:D
