Happy New Year and my purple obsession

New Year, new set:) On purple, but not only. I made some hats and scarves with the yarn which Santa gave me.

So let me introduce you my new creations!

First a hat with little flowers, on purple, green, and white:

available on my etsy shop

purple hat

and two assorted scarves:

esarfa 11

This is the first one. As you can see can be worn as a collar or necklace or as a neckwarmer.

It is also available on my etsy shop, I just listed it.

And the second one, in same colors:

scarf + hat scarf1

it’s a tubular neckwarmer worked in V stitch with a 6.5 mm hook (K/10/12)on 78 stitches;). I will list it tonight;)

And the hat for the challenge, ofc:

purple hat 2 purple hat 12

This is a lavender purple;) Looks great. I used Red Heart Baby soft 2 strands and a 6.5 mm hook (K/10/ 12) and 76 sts. (52 for visor) .

The pattern is on yarnspiration.com. Patons. I found the link: http://www.yarnspirations.com/women-s-peaked-cap.html

About my new WIP(s) next time:)

I used a 6.5 mm hook (K) and 150 m Red Heart Detroit yarn (says 3 on label at weight). I think organic cotton is the same. Didn’t try yet.

Abbreviations:

ch = chain,

st(s) = stitch(es)

dc = double crochet

V stitch = double crochet, ch 2, dc in same st

tr = treble

Chain 60, not too tight.

Row 1: ch 3 (counts as dc, here and in each row from here), dc in the forth ch from the hook and in each next 59 sts (60 dc).

Row 2:  ch 3, dc in next st, *2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in third st*, repeat until you reach last 2 sts, dc in each next 2 sts.

Row 3:  ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, *2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the next ch 1 space, ch 1*, repeat *_* in each ch 1 space, dc in each last 2 sts.

Row 4: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, *2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the next ch 1 space, ch 1*, repeat *_* in each ch 1 space, dc in each last 2 sts.

Row 5: repeat row 4.

Row 6: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 2, *2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the next ch 1 space, ch 2*, repeat *_* in each ch 1 space, dc in each last 2 sts.

Row 7: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 2, *dc in each next 2 sts, dc, ch 2, dc in next ch 2 space, dc in next 2 sts, ch 2*, repeat *_* until the end of the row (it supposed to finish in 2 dc).

Row 8: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 2, *dc in each next 3 sts, dc, ch 2, dc in next ch 2 space, dc in each next 3 sts, ch 2*; repeat *_* until the end of the row (dc in last 2 sts).

Row 9: ch 3, dc in next st, 7 dc in second ch 2 space ( in the top of that V stitch), dc, ch 1, dc in next ch 2 space (the lower one), *7 dc in next ch 2 space, dc, ch 1, dc in next ch 2 space*; repeat *_* until you reach last ch 2 space, before last 2 dc. Just skip this last chain (don’t work on it) and make dc in each next 2 dc.

I can say is a beginner intermediate-easy pattern? But it’s cute.

For embelishment flowers: I chained 50, slip stitch in the 6th ch from the hook (ring formed).

Turn your work. #Ch 4,  3 tr cluster (3 tr worked together) ch 4, sg in ring# = 1 petal made. Make 3 petals.

And that’s it;)

P.S. If you have any problem, comment or send a message.

New crocheted scarf # who knows?

I said small projects, now I make only scarves;) And a headband.

So, I listed the red one, now let me introduce you another 3;))

The brown one, made with 6.5 mm (K) crochet hook and a soft bulky wool. It’s so called interlocking crochet. I made a mesh and then I inserted the Big Bang Alize yarn. I wanted some pompons yarn, but I didn’t find it. I will try it some other time:

Playing with yarns

I didn’t post for a while, but this doesn’t mean that I didn’t crochet, knit or bead. And I discovered one of my first embroidery pattern. It is almost 20 years old…

Crochet first.

Something for the season, in pink and grey with hearts, of course.

A #neckwarmer with hearts and some shells:

2014-02-07 21.41.35-4 2014-02-07 21.43.33-1 2014-02-07 21.43.33-2 2014-02-07 21.45.52-2 2014-02-07 21.45.52-3 2014-02-07 21.45.52-4

A cute pink #crochet collar with a pearl button:

2014-02-07 21.26.47-1 2014-02-07 21.26.47-2 2014-02-07 21.26.47-3 2014-02-07 21.26.47-4 2014-02-07 21.26.47-5

A finger knitted scarf or neckwarmer. I love the color, and the yarn. I made some fingerless mittens too with this yarn, but I do’t find the pictures… later, maybe.

2014-02-07 21.52.09-1

Still #knitting, but a sweater this time:

2014-02-01 15.51.34-2 2014-02-01 15.51.34-4 2014-02-07 21.50.02-1 2014-02-07 21.50.02-4

Cute, I think. ( I am modest now:D)

In few hours I will post those hearts, for neckwarmer too (the crocheted one).

and #beading, an embroidered pendant with a leopardin pattern glass cabochon, on leather:

2014-01-22 17.41.08-7 2014-01-22 17.41.08-9 2014-01-22 17.41.08-10

Now I am thinking at necklace. I think an I-cord, or a tatted necklace, or maybe crochet with beads…

As I said, I discovered this piece of paper:

2014-02-07 21.14.55-1 2014-02-07 21.14.55-2

maybe I will use it now. It is 15 x 20 cm, but I don’t remember what I wanted to do with it…

Now, is dinner time, I will share the hearts after.

I mean now:

2014-02-08 12.28.46-1 2014-02-08 12.28.46-2

These can be used to knit, crochet (sc or slip stitch, carrying your second color), or beaded (brick stitch, or loom, or crochet bracelets).

In the first graph 0 is grey and x is pink, you can choose your own colors.

For cowl I used a 5 mm hook (H/8), with a medium weight yarn, started with 70 chains, and then sc (dc UK).

Have fun!

&

Have a great weekend!
