A 2 m long winter scarf for him
better pictures on Sunday, now it’s 10 pm here, and artificial light… with black…
Anyway, the pattern is very easy, but it looks like a knitted scarf.
You will need a K/6.5 mm crochet hook and 200g of yarn (a sport yarn, or a 2 strand of a soft yarn), I used Fine 2 for coats in 2 strands almost 4 skeins of Red Heart Margareta, easy to find for anyone and at a fair price at my yarn shop)
Abbreviations: (US terms and UK in the brackets [ ])
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet [dc = double crochet]
dc = double crochet [tr = treble or triple crochet]
st = stitch; sts = stitches
Chain 250.
R1: ch 2, hdc in every ch [dc in every ch] (250 sts)
Round 2 and all rounds: work in the loop behind the st (not in the front loop nor in the back loop; behind the back loop is a smaller one, work in that loop); chain 2, hdc in every st from the previous round [ch 2, dc in every st from the previous round]
Rounds 3-20 Repeat round 2.
At the edges, I made some shells, so I can add fringes:
1 sc [hdc] in the corner, *skip 2 rows, in the relief st work 3 dc [tr], ch 3, 3 dc [tr], skip the next 2 rounds, sc [hdc] in the next relief st*; repeat *_* as you need. In those ch 3 you can add fringes, if you want to.
Tip: try another color! Black works like hell, especially in the evening!
